Husband’s Behavior is Giving Me the Ick

We are currently at a very nice resort, in a tropical destination, having a good time. They had beach volleyball as one of the activities, which was not well-attended, but we love beach volleyball so we rallied up a bunch of folks and got a good group together… various skill levels, but everyone is doing their best and it’s fun. Some of the folks that joined the game were 3 men and 1 lady from France, pretty decent players. Then yesterday another lady, a wife of one of the French guys, decided to join, and she’d never played before. Right away, my husband started acting some kind of a way, paying extra attention to her, basically simping. Always making little comments to her, saying he could give her “serving lessons”, commenting “hit it like you are mad at your husband” when she serves, basically being very obviously attentive to her. She definitely did not want anything to do with that, and started complimenting my game. And I am not jealous at all, but this gives me a major ick… like, whyyyy…. Can you not control yourself? Does he not understand how obvious it is? Does it not occur to him that it looks pathetic when a grown man acts like this while his wife and daughter are present, towards a person who does not want him or his attention? I was on the other side of this recently, when we were at a wedding, and the bride’s uncle kept hitting on me, always showing up where I was, telling me that I am “a beautiful woman” in my language (he probably thought it was very smooth), while all I could think about is that this loser is acting a fool towards a married woman who wants nothing to do with him while his wife is right there… Ewww… so icky… loser behavior… submitted by /u/oceanique86 to r/Marriage [link] [comments]
